A Muslim in Congress

I agree that the flap over using the Koran was idiotic. Exercising free speech is the best way to address concerns over having a Muslim in Congress.

The koran says that lying to nonmuslims is not only okay but is encouraged. It also says that those inwilling to convert to islam should be killed. It also says that Jews should be beheaded.

Are these the things that Ellison stands for as he puts his hand on the koran?

Great piece. Catch what that idiot Glenn Beck said to Ellison in an interview? "I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.' "

I like Jon Stewart's comment about Beck. "Finally, a guy who says what people who aren't thinking are thinking."

Stewart went on to say that like Ellison, newly elected white congressmen should prove themselves too. That they've "neither blown up a federal building with a fertilizer bomb, nor sucked off a gay hooker in the men's room of a Denny's."
