The Crusades, Then and Now

Cable news reports that 80% of college students meditate or pray. See Dr. Michael W. Clark’s and my discussion of interfaith unity: “A Letter to God” at www.earthpages.org and see how you would answer the question that’s posed. World peace begins with each one of us.

face it, monotheism is a malthusian check! fighting war over one's imaginary friend is the only thing that will keep the human population from overwhelming the only planet we know of that will sustain it. even in times of relatively abundant resources, we'll always have something to fight over thanks to the "faithful." and the relative affluent consumption patterns of the christians i know simply worsen the struggle. for example, instead of deifying the human womb, why don't the roman catholics of the world start with consideration of the other species allah placed here with us? leave me out of it! planet peace starts with (human) population control.

God Bless our troops

Thank you Jason!

Your article, for some reason, reminds me of how sick I am of seeing all those bumpers stickers saying "God Bless our troops" or "God Bless America" or similiar such things. Do people really believe God has preferences with regard to armies or nations? I know this is an oversimplification but when a car passes me with a "God Bless America" sticker I sometimes think to myself: Osama Bin Laden is big into God being his side too you know!!

I would also like to say (and I venting here a little bit)that I wish all you "believers" would shut up about Jesus already. How 'bout trying to imitate his life and minitry for a change instead of all this talk, talk, talk? Cloth the poor, feed the sick, visit orphans and widows in there distress, and keep bloody mouths shut. I believe our Lord would pleased with the change!
